For any California summer wedding, you know that you’re in for a warm and sunny treat. But having a wedding in Old Sacramento, makes for a HOT one! Not only the weather, this couple is so HOT in love and we were so hot to cover this amazing day! I have known Karina for a couple of years and saw her occasionally at our friend’s Carla’s parties (a great party hostess by the way!). I remember having talks with her about the up’s and down’s of dating as a single gal, and I remember the last time I had seen her she was “giving up” on the blind dating thing. I also remember giving her advice and suggesting that she “not” think much about it, or try too hard and that LOVE will find it’s way to her. Karina said she did this, and one day another mutual friend, Nina, introduced her to a man named Dennis. What was a friendship from the beginning flourished into a beautiful whirlwind of AMOR..and the rest is history!
I was so excited the day they announced their Engagement and trust me I was not going to make a sales pitch about our services, but Karina called me and asked if we would do the honors, I was elated, ecstatic, and joyful. My joy comes from love and I could not be happier for her and Dennis as well as Collin 4, Dennis was a single dad and Collin is an amazing little boy, no no really he really is! It’s odd when a friend announces exciting news like “I’m Engaged!” The last thing I want to do as a friend and a professional, is chimp and say “ooh ooh ooh pick me!” Not my style. But, if they ask me on the other hand, I am humbled, as well as excited to be part of the story and handed the task of delivering lifelong, cherished, and impacting images that are filled with emotion, movement, and LIFE!
Karina & Dennis even kick it up a notch or two doing it “their way” with a bit of ambiance at the Old Firehouse Restaurant in Old Sacramento, blue converse sneakers (for themselves and their guests), tons of gorgeous sunflowers, awesome food, cake, and entertainment, and splashes of their wedding theme and colors of gold and blue! Thanks Karina, Dennis & Collin for making us a part of the story and for allowing us to share your yummy wedding with the world! CHEERS!!
